Adopting a rescue cat involves several steps to ensure that both the cat(s) and the adopter are a good match and that the transition to a new home is smooth. We also have a responsibility to ensure that we do our due diligence to ensure the potential adopter is ready for this type of commitment! Here’s an overview of our adoption process:

Featured Adoptable Cats
Meet Muffin!
Muffin is an independent, sweet boy. He showed up at a local barn very thin, unfixed and limping. He was getting into tiffs with the other cats, and it was clear he needed some help. Muffin is the kind of cat that owns every room. Recently at an adoption event, he was quite happy to lounge in his cage while everyone cooed at his handsome face. He's a big boy, who can coexist with other respectful cats or he would be happy as the king of his castle. We believe Muffin would do well with older children (above 10) or a mature household. He is sure to make you laugh everyday with his quirky, confident personality. Click below to view his full profile on Pet Finder!
Meet Aspen!
Aspen is a sweet soul that was born around the beginning of May 2025 to a beautiful street cat with 2 other siblings. Aspen was brought to live with her foster mom in October where she has slowly learned to feel safe and trust humans. She is very affectionate when she is comfortable but is also very scared and timid with strangers and loud unfamiliar noises. She loves playing with her toy mice and can be energetic when she is feeling playful. She loves digging in her cat litter and is completely litter trained. She has not been around other cats since being inside but grew up around all of the community cats so we feel it would be good for her to have other cats for company. We feel she will be happy in a calm environment with children ages 12 and up or in an all adult home as sudden noises scare her. Aspen is a loving girl who would love to be a part of your family! Meet Marsha!
Marsha is a gentle, loving kitty with a tender heart. She was brought in off the street with her sister Lulu, who is also up for adoption. Marsha is skittish with new people and would need time to adjust to new surroundings and people before she will trust. Once she does, she will be inquisitive and the sweetest addition to your family! As you can see, Marsha loves other cats and gains confidence from having a feline friend by her side. She must go to a home with another friendly cat, perhaps with her sister Lulu. Together, Marsha and Lulu make an especially beautiful and loving duo. Click below to view her full profile on Pet Finder!
Meet Tommy
Tommy is a long-haired gentle boy. He had been through a tough winter outdoors but has been doing very well inside and gets along well with the friendly cats who are fostered with him. We feel he would do well with another cat or on his own, to soak up all the love. Tommy would make a great addition to your family! Click below to view his full profile on Pet Finder!
Happy Tails
Here are some of our CCPH alumni and their happily ever afters!
Linda has found her forever home with her foster family, where she'll be surrounded by three other kitty companions. The 19-year-old son of the family quickly fell in love with her, and he just couldn’t bear to say goodbye. We’re so happy for Linda and absolutely love seeing the bond they’ve formed!
Simon is an adorable little buff-orange kitten and was the last of his litter of four to find his forever home. We're thrilled to share that he now has a young playmate in his new family, and the two of them are already enjoying endless fun and companionship. It's wonderful to see him so happy and settled!
Terrence is a charming black-and-white kitten who was adopted by a previous adopter who had already welcomed his sister into their home. Now, the two are happily running around together, enjoying every moment and bringing endless joy to their family.
Oliver and Bruna are now living in Vaughan and they’re absolutely thrilled with their new family members. They couldn’t be happier in their new home.
